Just some girl time!!

Just some random pictures of me and the girls hanging out at home and parks!!

Easter

This year the Easter Bunny brought creative items!!! The girls got blank canvas and paint. Ruthy didn't hesitate to creat! Colleen is still thinking. Ruthy's masterpiece is now hanging in her room. I believe the Easter Bunny will carry on this healthy more creative traditions will possibly smaller canvas or daddy will have to create more hanging space!!
Ruthy made a new friend at my Dad's house. She fell in love with Papaw and Mamaw Beans dog Sugar. Of course she loved all the other animals too!

The girls with their Easter dresses on. Ruthy had to change hers because "I can't get it dirty on the farm!"

They love to be silly together. We were taking tons of pictures in Grandma Whitledge's backyard! So they had to throw out a pose of their own!!

Birthdays in the Whitledge house

Prepare to be bombarded with pictures!! We celebrated Daddy's birthday in February and Ruthy's birthday in April, so we have a combined blog!

Ruthy helped mommy make Daddy's cake this year! She helped break the eggs and I fished quite a few shells out of the batter! Of course she got to eat the beaters and bowl. She helped decorated Daddy's cake. She insisted on balloons.

For Ruthy's 4th birthday we rented a princess castle bouncer!!! She invited her friends from school and they had a great time. However she was sad that we had to take the bouncer back to its home at the end of the day.

Ruthy and her cousin Eliza had their own personal bounce time before the rest of th eguest came. Eliza is a little younger and still very much dependent on naps! Unfortunately nap time was also party time so she left early.

The birthday princess on top of the slide. Did you gasp for air?? She actually wanted her hair fixed and not just a headband!!

Daddy had to preinspect the castle. A big thanks to Uncle Terry who helped Daddy get the yard ready and deliver the bouncer. Uncle Terry works 3rd shift nad stayed up till around noon.

its tradition that we always make a cake -- so this is our homemade cake. And yes Ruthy helped!

Ruthy and Daddy hanging out in the bouncer after all the guest left. We played another 4 hours in the bouncer. Mommy and Daddy had very sore legs the next day!

The Tinkerbell cupcakes and yes the bakery spelled her name wrong!!!
Ruthy really enjoyed having her friends from school at the party. Getting eight 4 year olds to stand in the same area at the same time for a picture -- well it just didn't happen!! We also had a pinata that Uncle Terry filled so full with gummy snacks and candy that the kids had a hard time breaking it. Finally Ruthy's older cousin Sam who is 13 took a swing -- pinata went flying intaked! So I shook the candy out!!

Snow Day with Daddy

We had another snow day that kept us out of school and Kelly came home early. Our day started with a text from Uncle Terry that said he saw a white blob in our front yard on his way home! So of course we ran to the front door and Ruthy spotted her new friend left by the snow ninjas aka Uncle Terry! We had to get dressed and go outside!

When Daddy came home Ruthy told him that she needed to leave a snow blob for Uncle Terry - a really big one! So the fun begins! Ruthy and Daddy packed the snow into a huge mound. When the mound became too big for Ruthy she went on a scavenger hunt for eyes, nose, lips, teeth and hands! She decided Uncle Terry's recycle bin would be an excellent place to look!

Ruthy picked out a mild cap for one eye, and a bleach cap for the other eye! A Dr. Pepper 3 liter bottle for the nose and teeth. Tree branches for lips and a coke bottle top for a beauty mark!!!

We had a great day. By the end Ruthy was just too cold and tired to walk back across the street so Daddy gave her a ride on the 4-wheeler. Mommy of course held her breath the whole way walking behind them.

Fired Up Pottery and Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day, we took Ruthy to Fired up Pottery to paint some things as she says!! Colleen decided she was too cool and stayed at a friends house. We ran into some friends (Skye, Alicia, and Bailey) there and made a big play date out of the day! Ruthy painted a unicorn and a one of kind unicorn it is! Bailey painted a penguin, Alicia painted a turtle, Sky painted a coaster, Kelly painted a Fairy treasure box for Ruthy, and I painted a big soup bowl!! We had a blast!

Alicia painting the turtle she picked out. Ruthy and her one of a kind unicorn!
Daddy working hard on the Fairy treasure box for Ruthy. I'm so glad he enjoys doing the girly things that Ruthy enjoys. As I have said before Ruthy has her daddy wrapped around all of her fingers!!!

Ruthy and Bailey working together on Ruthy's unicorn. Bailey had finished her penguin and became upset because she couldn't paint another one. So my lovely little girl told her she could help paint the unicorn if it would make her happy again!

Later in the day Kelly suprised me with family pictures at Portrait Innovations. We had a blast! Ruthy was all smiles. Colleen's pictures turned out beautiful. She is growing into a gorgeous young lady!

Kelly and the girls. Me and the girls.Ruthy sitting on top of Colleen. This is the usual-- Colleen mad and Ruthy laughing. Colleen has entered the age where she isn't sure if its still cool to play with her little sister or not. one of our family pictures.

A daddy's girl

Ruthy and I went outside for a snow day!! She learned how to make snow angels! As you can see she really enjoyed it.
Feeling a little cold in our 21 degree weather.

Ruthy and her daddy had a dancing date and carried on a conversation about spinning fast, pretty music and going to build snowmen (aka Ariel and prince Eric).

She just happened to give him a kiss as I took a picture. They were dancing to "Dance with My Father Again." Of course Daddy just ate this up. He can now say he was her first slow dance.
